The
Seagate Towers Condominiums project consisted of two thirteen-story
towers with a total of 150 individual residential owners. Performance
Glass Associates / Glass America began this project on July 12, 2007
and completed it prior to the Thanksgiving 2007 Holiday Season. The
original time frame that was contractually agreed upon was seven
months. However, Performance Glass Associates / Glass America completed
the installation of over 1,000 Large Missile Impact Resistant window
units and 300 Large Missile Impact Resistant sliding door units in FOUR
AND ONE-HALF months! Not only were the unit owners ecstatic, but the
manufacturers and representatives within the industry could simply not
believe it! PGA / Glass America were overwhelmed with the compliments
and comments such as "We have NEVER seen any job run so smoothly and
completed so quickly." Obviously, none of this would have been possible
without the superb performance of the Manufacturers, Innovative Window
Concepts and WinDoor Incorporated. Their respective quality
craftsmanship and on-time deliveries were paramount in this
industry-recognized success.
In
addition to the individual units mentioned above, PGA / Glass America
also retro-fitted the common areas of both towers complete with Large
Missile Impact Resistant Automatic Sliding Glass Doors and Large
Missile Impact Resistant fixed glass. Furthermore, PGA / Glass America
oversaw an office addition and expansion consisting of new poured
concrete walls, stucco, paint and interior drywall and paint. Finally,
many owners chose to remove their bulky, rather unsightly, roll-down
hurricane shutters. PGA / Glass America removed said shutters, disposed
of them and applied new stucco and paint to the affected areas of the
building.
The
Buildings' Association spent a great deal of time and money replacing
and beautifying their elevator cars and did not want any of the windows
or sliding glass doors being transported through them. Therefore, all
of the products were transported to the respective units via material
hoists and all of the old, antiquated, windows and sliding glass doors
were removed via swing stages from the exterior of the building. In
fact, PGA / Glass America utilized SEVEN swing stages, simultaneously,
to accomplish this mission.
